Veganism is not something new, it has actually been around for thousands of years. However, veganism is slowly becoming more popular with vegan celebrities such as Alicia Silverstone and Moby speaking out about the benefits of veganism. Veganism is a lifestyle that excludes all animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and honey.

Reasons to Choose Veganism

There are many reasons why people choose veganism. Some people choose veganism for ethical reasons, while others choose it for health reasons. Some people even choose veganism for environmental reasons. Here are some of the most common reasons people choose veganism:

Ethical Reasons

Veganism is an ethical lifestyle choice because it rejects the exploitation and killing of animals. Vegans believe that animals should not be used for food, clothing, entertainment, or any other purpose.

Health Reasons

Many people choose veganism because vegan diets are much healthier than non-vegan diets. Veganism is much lower in saturated fat and cholesterol, which can lead to a reduced risk of degenerative diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity.

Environmental Reasons

If veganism were adopted by everyone on Earth, it would be impossible for us to exhaust all available natural resources. On the other hand, if we continue to eat meat at the same rate that we do now, then our planet will be unable to sustain us within 50 years because of environmental problems such as deforestation and water pollution. With veganism comes improved emission standards due to the reduced need for transportation from farm animals. In addition, vegan crops use less energy during growth and require less water.

Vegan Dishes

Now that we have looked at some of the reasons why people choose veganism, let’s take a look at some vegan dishes.
