Crust Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry active yeast
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2/3 cup warm water

Nacho Meat Ingredients

  • ¾ cup textured vegetable protein
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ cup of water
  • ¼ diced small onion
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp cumin
  • ¾ tsp dried oregano
  • ¾ tsp dried thyme
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Ground pepper

For Nacho Pizza

  • 1 ½ avocado
  • Juice of half a lime
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ diced small red onion
  • 50g of sliced black olives
  • 100g sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp sliced jalapenos
  • ½ diced red pepper
  • Small bunch of fresh cilantro
  • Vegan sour cream

How to Make It:

  1. To make the pizza crust, combine 1 ½ cups of flour, yeast, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the olive oil and warm water until the mixture becomes rough dough. Put it onto a counter dredged with flour while adding as much of the remaining flour as needed while kneading it. Do it until it the dough becomes slightly tacky but not sticky. Finally, clean your mixing bowl and dry it. Place the dough and coat it with olive oil then cover it with a towel. Leave it and let it rise for 1 to 1 ½ hour or until it roughly doubles in size.
  2. Preheat your oven to 260C or 500F.
  3. Roll the dough on a lightly oiled pan to about 12 inches for a medium-thick crust. If you would like a thinner crust, choose a larger pan to roll the dough. Poke some hole into the base using a fork then bake it for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. To make the nacho meat, combine textured vegetable protein and water in a mixing bowl for a few minutes until it is hydrated. Heat a pan over medium to high heat and then add oil, onion, and garlic. Saute it and then add the hydrated textured vegetable protein and the other remaining ingredients and mix well. Remove from heat.
  5. To make the pizza, make guacamole using mashed avocado, lime juice, and salt and then mix in the red onions. Spread it onto the cooked pizza crust and top it with nacho meat, chopped veggies, cilantro and put some vegan sour cream as desired. Serve and enjoy!
