3 Recipes for Appetizing Vegan Birthday Food Ideas

Vegan birthdays are one of a kind, some people even wonder if that is possible and ask questions like what food do you serve? We serve delicious food made with love and no animal cruelty. When you taste it, you will forget chicken wings and fish fries; they are the best because you don’t need much effort to prepare them. Here are 3 vegan birthday food ideas: 

Baked Vietnamese Fries

Ingredients:

  • 1 large potato, cut like matchsticks, baked with salt & pepper
  • ⅓  cup roasted chopped peanuts
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Chopped basil
  • Chopped scallions
  • Mung bean sprouts
  • Sriracha hot sauce
  • Vegan mayo/cashew cream

For the sweet chili sauce:

  • 1.5 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp  Asian chili sauce
  • 2 to 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients listed for sweet chili sauce in a saucepan and bring to boil until thickened. Reserve 1 tbsp of nuts for garnish, and mix the rest of it with half the prepared sauce. Arrange the fries on a serving plate, sprinkle salt & pepper to taste, layer with cilantro and basil. Then add a layer of bean sprouts, add the sauced roasted nuts; Drizzle sriracha, vegan mayo/cashew cream, and the rest of the sweet chili sauce on top. Lastly, add chopped scallions, reserved nuts, and more cilantro while serving.

Basil Jalapeno and Corn Fritters

Ingredients:

  • 1 corn off the cob
  • 1 Jalapeno seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped basil
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 3 tbsp cornmeal
  • 1/2  tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation:

Take a large bowl, add all the ingredients, add corn, baking powder, and mix, then add water slowly, stir to make a thick paste. Put a skillet on medium heat, put some oil and let it heat; Pour spoonfuls of the fritters mixture on the skillet and spread with the spoon to make a round shape. Cook until golden on one side, turn on the other side, and cook both sides well, for 5 minutes. Take the fritters out and put on a kitchen towel to drain excess oil, repeat with other fritters, and serve hot with ketchup.

Baked Mango Cauliflower Sriracha Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of a cauliflower 
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp flour 
  • 3/4  tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp each of smoked paprika and chili powder
  • A dash of black pepper
  • 2 tsp oil

Mango Sriracha Glaze

  • 1 cup mango jam or preserves
  • 1/4 cup Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange juice or apple juice
  • A generous pinch of garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and line a baking tray with parchment paper or grease with oil. Cut the cauliflower into 2-inch pieces, make a batter with other 7 ingredients, put cauliflower pieces into batter and coat well, rest for 10 minutes; transfer it to the baking tray, and bake for 20 minutes.

Mix all the ingredients for the glaze and put it over medium heat on a saucepan, check the taste, bring to a simmer; Once the glaze is hot, add the baked cauliflowers and toss until well coated. Remove from heat and let it cool down a bit, serve while warm.

Conclusion:

You can serve the dishes with vegetable fried rice, noodles, bread and cool dips, guacamole, vegan ranch, tomato ketchup. Add lime juice to enhance taste and give a tangy flavor, other spices and salt should be given as required.
